Adamello Brenta nature park

The Adamello-Brenta Nature Park houses the largest protected area within the Trentino region. It is located in the west of Trentino; it covers an area of 620 km² and includes such mighty mountains as the Adamello and Brenta massifs.

Today the nature park is characterised by more than 50 lakes and the majestic Adamello glacier. The rich fauna includes all kinds of mountain species such as ibexes or brown bears. Rich green woods and pastures, wild fruits, berries and flowers, rare fish and birds have found a home in this unique natural area.
Featuring a maximum depth of 123 metres, lake Molveno is the deepest lake entirely belonging to the Trentino territory. Its average depth is 49.3 metre. Its waters reflect the surrounding mountains of the Brenta Dolomites as well as the Paganella mountain chain.

Furthermore the lake Molveno is popular thanks to its diverse fish species. Trouts, arctic chars and perches are only a selection of different fish which have their natural habitat in the lake. However, not only in the lake the variety of animals is huge, but also around the lake, where rabbits, chamois, roes and many other animals live. Thanks to the wind lake Molveno is perfect for sailing and other outdoor activities, so now you know what you can visit in Trento!

Hey! Here you have information of another natural park in Trento. It is the Stelvio National Park, which includes mountains of up to 3,900 m. The Stelvio National Park is definitely among the biggest Italian nature parks and the largest one of the Alps. Colourful valleys formed by huge glaciers some thousand years ago, pristine waters and the Ortles-Cevedale massif towering high above - this is the Stelvio National Park.
This natural park is home to numerous types of animals such as deers, chamois, eagles, ibexes, wolves, woodpeckers as well as a rich variety of plants such as buttercups or wild orchids.

Natural parks in Trento

Hi guys! As you know our colleagues are going to Trento for ten days next week, so we are going to tell you about some natural parks there. The first one is the Peneveggio Pale di San Martimo natural park, which was founded in 1967 and is one of the first natural parks in all Italy.

In it you will find lots of contrasts and different natural sceneries. While the north is home to a majestic spruce wood called Paneveggio, the south is characterised by the Pale di San Martino Dolomites. In the west, the nature park borders the porphyry rocks of the Lagorai Mountains. From the pinks-shining walls of the Dolomites and the dark rocks alternating with pristine waters in the Lagorai Massif to rich green woods and pastures at lower altitudes - here you will find all you can wish for!
